I saw this on Liz's blog and thought it looked like fun

Appetizer
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you look forward to your birthday?
About a five - I can take it or leave it really probably because I prefer to give presents than to receive. Now Christmas I love.

Soup
What is one word you don’t like the sound, spelling, or meaning of?
The c word is very offensive - It's pobably the worst word in the english language.

Salad
Do you wear sunglasses when you’re outside? If so, what does your current pair look like?
I can't go outside without my sunny's. My latest pair are a pink prada pair but i'm scared of losing them - I have a terrible habit of misplacing my sunnies and they never show up again. I love this pair and don't want to have to replace them.

Main Course
If you were to write a book, to whom would you dedicate it?
My hubby - he's been trying to get me to write a book for years.

Dessert
Name a beverage that you enjoy. I really like water - it's basically all I drink. although a baileys every now and again is noice too.

18th photos

Wow to be 18 again. This is the lovely Kendall on her 18th Birthday.

Here are my two favourites from a recent session. aren't thos baby cheeks just devine. This baby made me so clucky - lucky i'm already pregnant.

Lost my Mojo

I have completely lost my scrapping mojo - I can't seem to create anything. I've even sat down a couple of times with the best intentions and I just can't put a page together. I've even stopped buying scrap supplies because I thought it was a bit rediculous to keep buying stuff that was just going to sit there and not get used. I guess it must be the pregnancy and all the stress that goes with it. But scrapping and shopping also are the two things that usually relax me and I'm doing neither. I'd like to get some things done before the baby arrives because I''l be too tired after. I'm hoping that that nesting thing will kick in soon and i'll try and use it to scrap something. My aim this year was to do a book of me and my school years album. Maybe deep down that is what's blocking my mojo, having to scrap myself.

My big baby bump

I got Ethan to take some photos of my ever expanding tummy today - I feel enormous. I have five weeks to go but the baby is already over 7lbs - he s going to be enormous. Everytime they measure him I almost don't want to know how big he is. We still haven't agreed on any names, i might wait until th emoment he is born and just say "This is his name". Hopefully Carl will be so traumatised by the event that he'll just agree. Although I won't be in any condition to argue if he doesn't agree. I'm still having weekly ultrasounds but everything is going well so far, fingers crossed. i di dhave ome terrible nightmares last night and I'm a bit shaken from them today, I think the pregnancy hormones have been sending me the most vivd dreams but these were terrible. Anyway, lucky that they were just dreams.

I had a client come over on the weekend so that I could photograph her boys and my little diva threw a massive tantum (which is so unlike her). The reason was that I wasn't taking any photos of her! So the next day i had a play with Xavier and aurora.

30 weeks

Well talk about high drama - my kids were infected with the Parvovirus a couple of months ago and they in turn infected me. Unfortunately the parvovirus or slapped cheek is very dangerous to pregnant people. Basically what happens is the antibodies that my body produces attack the baby's red blood cells and compromise them so that when he's born there is not enough red blood cells to pump oxygen around the body and the baby will go in to cardiac arrest. So this means I need to have weekly ultrasounds and the baby needs to be monitored closely and if he is becoming ill then they will give him a blood transfusion. It has all been a little stressful to say the least. On a positive note I do get to check out the baby weekly in ultrasounds and I'm beginning to see features - he's very cute but a bit of a boofer. He already weights 4lb 6o. When I asked what the average was the technician brought up a graph similar to a baby's growth chart and there was this little dot way way above the top line - basically off the chart. LOL - I have to laugh or I'll start freaking out.

28 Weeks

My baby has reached the magical mark of 28 weeks. The proportion of head to body is correct and if he were to be born now, he would be completely developed except for the extra fat that keeps him warm outside of the womb. That does not mean that all of his organs are working that well. It is also not very pleasant for him to have to trade in his warm nest for that scary incubator. He is still really small and vulnerable: he's just over a foot long (35 centimeters) and he weighs approximately 2 lbs. (900 grams). For this reason, it's better if he stays nicely in your abdomen for now so that he can grow further. although my big fat boofer is the size of a 31 week old - it's going to be a big one!!!!!!!!

My Boy

I really can't take a bad piture of this boy, he just looks at me and I snap, he is so photogenic.

Week 28

Well only twelve weeks to go and I must admit that I have total placenta brain. If I'm making no sense this is my excuse. I feel so dumb and my brain is constantly foggy. there was a reason for this post but it has totally gone out of my head.

Miss Aurora

I swear that this girl is so easy to photograph, I've still bee playing with my lights and I quite like the effect of this one. She is very shinny though.LOL

The Kids

I've been playing with my new studio lights and I took these photos of the kids the other day. The one with Xavier and Aurora is very cute but Ethan looks a bit funny in the phoo of the three of them.

The lovely Taylah

I'm Back

Talk about drama in my life lately. Our move went smoothly but we had huge prblems getting our phone and internet on. I lived without the phone for 5 weeks and without the internet for 8 weeks. The joys of living in the country and having to wait for people to hook us up. i've also had some pregnancy issues - I had high blood pressure (180 over 100) and had to be monitored - I think it was the stress of the move. Last week my kids all got sick with the parvovirus (slapped cheek) and a note was sent home from school stating that it is dangerous for pregnant women to be exposed to he parvovirus so i went to the doc's and had blood tests last week. when i called for the results this week I was told that i would have to come in fo rthe results - great! I'll find out tomorrow morning what's happening. The Parvovirus can cause some pretty serious side effects for a featus. i'm also still vomiting most mornings and can't eat after about 4pm. So the joys of pregnancy. But enough of my grumbling. I'm trying to get some layouts together to enter the For Keeps Awards for Excellence - I toy with the idea of entering every year and never get organised. I'm only enetering the awards section not the elite team section - I'm not kidding myself completly. LOL.

Movie titles

Saw this on Angie's blog and thought it would be funApparently if you have seen more than 85 movies out of this list of over 200 then you are deemed (by someone - not sure who?) to HAVE NO LIFE!!!
No before I start let me state that I once worked in the video industry for 5 years and I have a twelve year old son - which it seems that a large percntage of these films seemed aimed at - someone has to take him to the flicks.

our new House

This is our new house from the front and the kitchen.

4th Dan

I went for my 4th Dan in Taekwondo in May and I passed. Woo Hoo. This means that I can be a head instructor if I want wjhich is very exciting. I've been doing Taekwondo for 26 years and it has taken me a long time to get to this point. I was distracted by going to university and 3 children but I finally made it.

My Girl

Loving some of the new actions that I downloaded from actioncentral. Here's a couple of Aurora, one using a vintage action and one a colour pop.

My Boy

Here's some photo's that I took of Xavier at the park. I love how the slide works as a backdrop. I've also been playing with some borders and actions.

We have a new house

I'm picking up the keys to our new house tomorrow - I'm so excited.

STS challenge

Here is my take on Kathryn's challenge at Scrapping the Scraps Blog. The challenge was to use two pieces of patterned paper to create as many LO's, cards or BTP items that you could. I used the challenge to make my Mum a frame with all of her grandchildren in it. And I also made Mum and the MIL their Mother's Day cards. Hopefully they will like them.

My scrap room

Here is my scrap room in the new house. It's finally starting to take shape so that I can see the size of the work area. The room is 4x4 metres and has a 3 metre wardrobe - which will be used for storing all of my supplies. I'm so excited to be going into this space and I know that I'm very very lucky. I'm just so glad that I started scrapping before we built so that i could accomadate this hobby. :-D

Pupil of the Week

Xavier got Pupil of the Week yesterday. He was so funny, he didn't hear his name get called out so he just stayed seated. I had to go and tell a teacher to let him know he had to stand up at the front of the school. He was so thrilled, he stood in front of all the other kids and held his card out for everyone to see. He had the biggest smile on his face - I'd also let him have his first lunch order and when he came out of school at the end of the day he told me that it was his best day at school ever.

Pink Hibiscus

Pink Hibiscus had a stall at the Werarama Festival in Werribee on Sunday. It was quite a good succuss with us getting the PH name out there. It was freezing though, we were so cold that we had to wrap ourselves in blankets like little old ladies. I understand why the elderly need lap blankets, my legs were so cold and I got a chill in my kidneys - very painful. Our stall looked fantastic though. We had a large banner with Pink hibiscus printed on it. We had our hot pink hats with our logo on them and our t-shorts with the logo. It was very professional looking thanks to DH's designs and Lisa's DH doing all of the printing for us. I finally got our business cards and they look awesome, my DH is a bit of a star designer. I'll scan the business card and post soon.

Favourites

This is one of my favourite pics of Xavier at the moment. I'm thinking of getting some photos printed on canvases for the new house I just have to pic which photos.

New lens

I finally bought a 50mm lens for my camera and I love it, it takes the most wonderful close up portraits. Here is a pic of Aurora using the new lens and my new backdrop. I can't wait to get my photography studio set up in our new house.

House update

Here's the latest pic of our new house. We are currently up to lock-up stage - we can no longer get in to have a look around, which worries me a bit because the builders have stuffed up so many things already. Our completion date is June 16 - hopefully we will be in earlier but if not June's not too far away.

SM Vol 8 No 8

Here is my DD on the cover of February's Scrapbooking Memories. How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kids Tree

Every year we take photo at a tree in Torquay to show how much the kids have grown. My plan is to do a scrapbook LO for each year with journaling of what has happened that year. Here is 2005 and 2006.(which was taken a bit late but Shhhhh) :-D
